Description

North and east of the land of Kor is the land known as the Dragon Realms. Here still live the last remnents of the dragons that once ruled Etheria. They still hold great power as the factions of Etheria buy their services in wars. But some of the races have taken up refuge in the Dragon Realms to serve their Dragon masters. Some out of greed namely Dwarven others Elves who worship the Dragons. And brave human warriors have taken up the Dragon standard. Dragons can be a very powerful race but require lots of resources of all kinds.

Strengths

Well the greatest strength Dragons have is Plunder. Their ability to destroy their enemies and plunder resources. The other big strength they have is the ability of Land Dragons to morph up to Draglings then to the big guys. This means by keeping troops alive they can morph up during attacks as they Plunder resources from the buildings destroyed. Thus at level 5 Dragonkeep once an assault starts it usually ends with your enemy completely destroyed.

Weeknesses

The greatest weekness Dragons have is their early game. The Dragon Smith builder unit has a good build skill but is extremely expensive and only counts for one worker in the mine unlike the Dwarven Smith that counts for 2. Dwarven Bandit mallee troop is a solid troop but competes with the builder for resources often leaving the player with a tough choice early. Leave your base completely unprotected or have no addition builders in the mines. It is not til level 3 when the Land Dragon troop can be built from the dragon cave. But again in the early game they tax your stone resources to the limit.

Plunder, Plunder, Plunder

When it comes to leading the Dragons it is best to try to get your economy going as quickly as possible. You'll find that early in the game it's pretty much to expensive to do anything. I generally upgrade my Dragonkeep to level 2 as quickly as possible. Dragon Guards although wimpier than Dwarven bandits are the cheaper early game base deffence and scouting unit.Once my Dragon keep reaches level 3 I build the Dragon Horde building and hold out for the trade upgrade. Once I get the trade skill I swap my excess crystal for stone and start pumping out Land Dragons. The Plunder upgrades start to take precedence over further keep upgrades as I try to gain some map control using gangs of Land Dragons. They can level any enemy towers by mines and can bust mines as well gaining resouces depending on my Plunder level. Once you have decent resources it's totally up you what kind of Dragon units you can build. You can pick one of the 3 Breath of upgrades at the Dragon Cave or get all 3 upgrades. At level 4 you can build a Dragon Alter and get the Dragon Spirit upgrade. This upgrade gets you an instant DragonLiche. If you reach level 5 just go to the attack and morph as your resouces permit and destroy your enemy.

Good Hero Class?

Any class that contains bonus stone or gold resources to deal with the early game. Merchant is a nice option. Or opt for any class with builder summons.

How to slay the Dragons

When your up aggainst a Dragon opponent it's best to hit him before he hits you. That means not allowing him to level up past level 3 with any amount of Land Dragons. It's also helpful not to build towers or other buildings far from your base as these can be plundered. Go on the offensive as his early game troops are not that tough although his towers have Magic Damage which is nasty.
